We’re happy to welcome Busha Space as a new partner in the AR Ukraine Internal Network.
Located in the village of Busha, in Ukraine’s Vinnytsia region near the Moldovan border, Busha Space is a unique place where different Ukrainian landscapes meet. Its territory brings together plants, soils and natural features associated with Crimea, Polissia and the Carpathians — creating a landscape where people from different parts of Ukraine can feel at home.
Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Busha has also become a place of refuge for people from occupied and threatened territories. Today, this combination of safety, nature and community makes Busha Space an important place for gathering, exchange and artistic practice.
ArtPole Agency initiated the art residency programme at Busha Space in 2026. This collaboration grew in part through Planet Kherson, creating opportunities for artists and participants from Kherson to continue their work away from a city experiencing daily shelling.
Busha space is currently hosting AR Resident Olesia Davydovych and her eight-year-old daughter, Emilia. Emilia is one of the central characters in Planet Kherson, a performance built around the real stories, memories and voices of Kherson’s children and adults.
We’re excited to bring Busha Space into the AR Network and to see the new connections, exchanges and artistic journeys that can grow from this partnership.
